MBA Counseling

International Post-Graduate Courses

The globalization of the world’s economies has created a growing demand for executives with international experience. This fact has led many professionals to seek new educational opportunities through MBA and professional post-graduate programs. Often times, these programs do not meet the needs of the professional and frequently result in frustration and substantial economic expense.

The difficulty of this choice is augmented by the fact that MBA courses in the United States and many other countries are practically a pre-requisite for executive positions. The 2006 edition of the Peter’s Guide lists 1,312 American universities offering more than 200,000 spots in MBA courses. These programs vary from the most selective, demanding integral participation and dedication, to correspondence and online courses of dubious quality.

Of the 1,312 schools, the top twenty-five offer a total of 8,000 openings. These attract a large number of well-qualified candidates with a ratio of candidate/opening between 2:1 and 10:1. Consequently, the admissions process is highly competitive and highly selective, demanding that candidates come into the process well prepared. In many other schools, however, the demand is smaller and the selection process less competitive. This frequently reflects lower admissions and academic standards.

This heterogeneity also occurs in MBA programs in Europe and other countries, reinforcing the necessity of making careful choices based on current information and with attention to the specific needs of each candidate.

This is our specialty. We assist candidates in all stages of the admissions process—from selecting the program to completing applications—and we offer individual guidance strategies aimed at increasing a candidate’s competitiveness in the applicant pool. In addition to preparing candidates for MBA courses, we also offer recruiting services to companies that wish to fill their organizations with highly capable individuals, closing, as such, the cycle of professional development of our clients, from preparing for an MBA to preparing to enter the job market.

Our work encompasses the following:

• Assessment of educational needs
• Evaluation of potential
• Career counseling
• MBA program “matching”
• Procurement of licensed interpreters to translate documents
• Procurement of preparatory courses for the TOEFL and GMAT
• Guidance on positioning strategy
• Revision of applications
• Guidance on interview techniques
